Morgan M. Gilbert
Morgan Maurice Gilbert, 79, of the Points Community, Romney, West Virginia, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Virginia.
Mr. Gilbert was born in 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Morgan L. and Dena M. Gilbert. He was a graduate of Central High School in South Bend, Indiana and Pacific Western University receiving a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Gilbert was a Veteran having served in the 79th Engineering Unit in the United States Army, with the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a retired Aerospace Engineer with Martin Marietta and consultant with major defense organizations including Northrop Grumman, Honeywell, General Dynamics, Sperry, Bell Labs, Westinghouse, Raytheon and RCA.
His wife, Marguerite Boidiette Gilbert, preceded him in death on January 12, 1996.
Surviving are two daughters, Dena Myers and husband Winfield, of Rome, Georgia, Lucinda Gilbert of Charleston, South Carolina; granddaughter, Aiden Gilbert; two sisters, Joanne Creed and husband Leonard of La Paz, Indiana, Barbara Kieffer and husband Jim of Edmore, Michigan; and one brother, William Gilbert and wife Nancy of Kokomo, Indiana, including several nieces and nephews.
