Donna, I am in tears. Finding out, ten years later. I think of all the wonderful hours that that Devon & Michelle spent outside on a blanket with their Barbies on Dina Leigh. You were the very best Mom as I am sure Michelle was by your example. Hope this msg reaches you. Pat L.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Mike and family. I met Michelle over 15 years ago when I was still a sassy teenager and she and Mike moved to the neighborhood with 4 young kids and quickly became friends with our family through neighborhood chit chat and babysitting. I remember her warm personality, fun sense of humor and amazing mom skills. She also became one of my Sunday School teachers and made each time fun by relating her own real-world experiences to me and other young women which meant a lot to us even then. I will never forget her kindness and example of love in this world. I know that her best virtues will live on in each of her awesome kids and adoring husband, each of whom she so openly adored. I feel privileged to have known her at a special time in my life. Sincerest regards, Erika

Dear family, Your mother living a awesome life. What a shinning example she is. I have only gotten to Know your family for such a short time and yet she touched my life as well as a friend of mine. What a shinning testimony she is giving us all. I want you children to know that I think you all are the best. I know the older children and I must say you mom did good. For me I will have this wonderful memory of her in church Sunday the 27 the day the mission president made a visit to our ward. How happy and glowing she was sitting there listing to what all the Bishop had to say about our missionaries in the field. I remember thinking wow how happy she is and all is ok in her life. I know now your hearts are crying and as it will seem at times you have lost the compass in your life. Oh how mine did when my mom left me. This I will say lost I was and it was when 2 elders came to my home and showed me the plan. then it all came together for me. So take our heavenly fathers plan and start each day with a plan as he gave us use it as your compass. Our hurts do ease with time and I know you all will extend the love of your mom through your lives. I know may have offered to help and be there for you. Just know I am here if you just need a talk or a friend. My love and Prayers are with you , Ginger

My condolences to the entire Rees and Brooking family. Michelle and I worked together at Intelitarget and she was a source of support and humor at every turn. She was never daunted by mundane daily tasks, and could find fun in almost any situation. She was a ray of sunshine to me at work, and during difficult personal times as well. One of the best times I had as an adult was with Michelle, acting like kids. It relieved a ton of stress in a harmless way and brought a clarity to the situation that had been lacking. She will be sorely missed! We always think there'll be time to reconnect with folks with whom we have lost touch. This will be a reminder of me to let those I value as friends now at every opportunity, for we never know when we will lose that "touchstone"! May God bless you all in these difficult times! Kim Bledsoe and Stephanie Jackson (daughter)

My prayers and love go out to you dear Rees family! I still can not process this sad news. Michelle was such a sweet and loving person. Even though I haven't seen you all in years since moved out of Manassas, you have always been in my heart. Mike and Michelle both helped my children when we went through hard times.
