Michael Warren Cooper, 66 of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, November 2, 2009, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Cooper was born in 1943, in Pineville, West Virginia, the son of Madeline Gertrude Bennett and the late William Warren Cooper. He was a retired foreman and equipment operator and a Veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Cooper attended Bethel Lutheran Church in Frederick County, Virginia.
He married Pamela Kuntz on December 30, 1988.
Surviving with his wife, is his son, Jim Cooper and his wife, Rhonda, of Elkview, West Virginia; step-sons, Jeffery Snoots of Inwood, West Virginia, Terry Hudson and his wife, Bobbi Jo, of Stephens City, Virginia, John Hudson and his wife, Brandy, of Winchester, Virginia; seven grandchildren; a sister, Janet Clifton and her husband, Larry, of Los Angeles, California; and two brothers, Dennis Cooper and his wife, Linda, of Haymarket, Virginia and Rodney Lester of Alderson, West Virginia.
His son, Billy Cooper and one sister, Pamela Cooper preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church with The Reverend Russell O. Siler officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
