Michael “Mike” W. Pittington, 52, of Frederick County, Virginia died Saturday, August 27, 2016 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Mike was born in 1964 in New Jersey, the son of Lisa Bair and the late George Pittington. He was employed at Beckstrom Electric as an electrician and had attended Pemperton Township High School.
Mike was really into herbalism, fishing, hunting, cooking and hanging out with his kids and friends. He loved to eat, was a big Tony Stewart fan, loved riding his Harley, visiting his family in PA and NJ, and hanging on the river. Mike had the biggest heart and was a very kind man with a hippie soul – no one could meet him and not like him.
Surviving is his mother, Lisa Bair of Browns Mills, New Jersey; former wife, Dana Frye; son, Sgt. Joshua Crim of Winchester, Virginia; daughter, Shaley Pittington of Winchester, Virginia; brothers, Kerry Pittington of Browns Mills, New Jersey and Kenny Pittington of West Virginia; sisters, Cheryl Freligh of Browns Mills, New Jersey and Tammy Alterio of Culpeper, Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 5:00 PM at Joe and Kim’s house, 197 Caldwell Lane, Winchester, VA, 22602.
Memorial donations in memory of Mike may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
