Michael L. Field
Michael Lee “Mike” Field, 70, of Gore, Virginia, entered into rest on Monday, March 26, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Field was born in Muskegon, Michigan, the son of Vivian Field of Gilbert, Arizona and the late Bernard “Bud” Field. He moved to Arizona with his family in 1951 where he married and started a family. While working for USGS (United States Geological Survey) his family was transferred to Virginia in 1973. After retirement he and his current wife, Aloma Field, moved to Gore, where he drove a school bus for Frederick County Public Schools.
Surviving with his mother and wife are his children, Becky Field-Ross and husband, Larry, Annette Field and husband, Stephen Potter, Mathew Field; stepchildren, Maria L. Pruitt and William L. Perdichizzi; sister, Margaret Burns and husband, Bill, of Golden Colorado; brother, Mitchell Field and wife, Becky, of Gilbert, Arizona; four grandchildren, Joshua Butcher, Ashley Ross-Hayden, BrookeAnne Ross, Dakota “Cody” Butcher and two step-grandchildren Jennifer Pruitt and Joey Pruitt, III.
The family is honoring his request to conduct no memorial service.
Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
