Michael J. Floyd, 58, of Front Royal, VA died Friday, September 4, 2015 with his loving wife by his side.

Michael was born in 1957 in Arlington, VA, the son of the late Dennis E. and Margaret E. Floyd.  He was a truck driver and worked for Kent Excavating & Paving in Aldie for the last 10 years.  Michael enjoyed NASCAR racing, football, and baseball.

Michael married Mary Ann Platt on March 9, 1984 in Rockville, MD.

Surviving with his wife is a brother, Steve Floyd, Remington, VA and his two dogs, Bugs and Cooper.

Michael was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Wayne, and Robert Floyd.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, Virginia 22601
