Michael Emanuele Modica, 77 of Winchester, VA passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.

Michael was born in 1944 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Emanuele and Lillian (Esposito) Modica. He graduated from Westinghouse High School and served our country in the United States Marine Corps. Michael retired after 20 years of service with the New York City Police Department. He loved music, playing the guitar, keyboard, piano, trumpet and drums as well as singing. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan and father of two.

He married Lucille Theresa Loiacono on June 25, 1966 in Brooklyn, NY.

Michael is survived by his wife, Lucille; daughters, Lily Incavo (Mark) and Marie Storch (Eric); grandchildren, Angela, Geena, Paige, Alex, Dylan and Lila; great grandchildren, Rianna, Emma, Blake, Ben, Cameron and Theo.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Annabel and brother Gary.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 1pm at Mountain View Church of Christ with reception to follow at Mountain View Church of Christ.

Met Mike in 1968 on my first assignment from the Transit Police Academy. He as the senior guy broke me in and made sure I didn't screw up too bad.
