Met Mike in 1968 on my first assignment from the Transit Police Academy. He as the senior guy broke me in and made sure I didn't screw up too bad. His sense of humor made me feel at ease and he then tutored a scared little probie. I will always be indebted to Mike and cops like him who watched out for the new guys. Rest in Peace Mike. I know you are in heaven and possibly tweaking a few things to make them better. My condolences to the Modica family. Your loss is immeasurable .
