Michael “Mike” Dwayne Crites, 30, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mike was born in 1987 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Bobby L. Burton and the late Lisa Crites and stepson of the late David M. Crites. He was employed as a construction worker and as an automotive mechanic. Mike was an avid outdoorsman, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and loved his church. He was a pending member of Timberville Moose Lodge and attended AFresh Church of God in Winchester.
Surviving with his father are daughters, Lisa L. Crites and Morgan M. Crites of Winchester, Virginia; grandfather, Gerald L. Dunlap; grandmother, Judy Thorpe; sisters, Wendy N. Kirby of Fulks Run, Virginia, Amber L. Owens and Jenna R. Westfall both of Winchester, Virginia; brother, Cody A. Stine of Winchester, Virginia; nieces, Kenlynn G. Stine, Patience N. Whitlock, Brittany N. Kirby, Felicia M. Kirby, Nevaeh J. Shingleton; and nephews, Brandon A. Stine, Christian B. Whitlock, Cameron C. Shingleton.
Along with his mother and stepfather Mike was preceded in death by grandmother, Barbara M. Dunlap
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
