Micah P. Frey
Micah Paul “Mic” Frey, 32, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Frey was born in Warrenton, Virginia, in 1980, the son of John R. and Kandis R. Jenkins of Winchester, Virginia, and Christopher C. Frey of Houston, Texas. He was employed as a plumber’s assistant with Robert’s Plumbing in Bluemont, VA. Micah was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1999. He was a Spec. 4 in the Army having served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Micah was a member of Morrisville United Methodist Church in Morrisville, Virginia. He was loved and will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Nichole R. Frey-Testa of Marshall, Virginia, Casey R. Funk and Amanda R. Jenkins both of Frederick County, Virginia and a brother, Joshua J. Jenkins of Frederick County, Virginia. Micah is also survived by his girlfriend, Melanie Kent and her son, Christopher, of Winchester, and their soon to be born son, Austin. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Brandon, Kaelyn, Trentyn, Caeley, Daje, Kaiden, Rylee and Jackson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Omps Funeral Home – Amherst Chapel with Pastor Steve Melester officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, White Post, Virginia. Military honors will be accorded by VFW Post 2123 of Winchester, Virginia.
