Maurya (Micki) Myers Moore, 55, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Maurya was born and raised by her late mother, Gloria C. Lewis in Annapolis, Maryland. She was a graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School and attended Cochise Community College in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Micki was a veteran having served in the United States Army and after her service was employed at the Veterans Hospital as a Medical Surgical Tech in Martinsburg. Maurya has one loving brother, Jon Lewis.
She leaves behind her current husband, Michael Moore; former husbands, Johnny Myers and Tony Myrick. Maurya had two children, Johnny R. Myers and Casey C. Myrick-Wright.
Before passing she was able to attend the weddings of her children and welcome Joanna Myers, Johnny’s wife; and Stafford Wright, Casey’s husband. Micki was the life of the party and she made sure all your needs were met before her own. Micki loved to be out and about the town and volunteering at the Highland Church pantry. Her past-times at home were maintaining beautiful gardens, entertaining friends and family and playing candy crush.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 6, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with a reception to follow the service at Omps Reception Center, Amherst Chapel.
