Lewis Moten III left a message on March 13, 2026:
Mo always encouraged me to smile, and she would light up when I did. It reminded me so much of my grandmother, who used to do the same. That small kindness meant more to me than I can easily express. My condolences to the family.
Diane Dobrea left a message on March 13, 2026:
In memory of Maureen, we are so thankful that Maureen was the beloved mother of our dear friend, Captain Ray Valdez and mother-in-law to Captain Heidi Valdez. We are blessed to know this family and it is an honor to share precious memories with them. I’m sure Maureen‘s memory will be eternal. With love from Diane, Michael and John Dobrea

I am sorry to hear of your loss but she is in heaven now rejoicing beyond our understanding. I met Mrs. Valdez as a young boy in the 1970's when she and her husband began attending our church. She brought so much love and laughter to our family. I will never forget one evening when we were coming into the doors of the church. We heard loud screaming. Mrs. Valdez was being chased by squirrels from the Sanctuary to the fellowship hall. It was so funny. After my mother passed away, she was like a second mother to my brother. She helped him with his grief just by being her sweet, loving and kind self. I look forward to seeing her again in heaven. Prayers for the family.
