Mary Sue Dailey, 79, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mary was born in 1944 in Frederick, MD, the daughter of the late Theodore and Texie Mae Bain. She was a graduate of Patterson Park High School and retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Mary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of the Winchester Moose Lodge. Mary enjoyed singing and cooking and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was also an avid Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens fan who also loved watching her favorite shows on T.V.
She married Ellwood Randolph Dailey, Sr. and he preceded her in death in September of 2010.
Mary is survived by her children, Sue E.H. Brown of Frederick County, VA, Rebecca M. Jolley of Frederick County, VA, Elwood R. Dailey, Jr. of Frederick County, VA; grandchildren, Rebecca King, Anjelica King, Brittany King, Ronald (Brown) Stotler, Christopher (Brown) Stotler; sister, Nancy Fousek and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, Mary is preceded in death by her son, Lawrence B. Fales, sister, Edna Lambert and her brother, Dwight Wiles.
A visitation will be held for Mary on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 2pm in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
