Mary Lou (Bayliss) Mallow, 78, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Friday, December 7, 2018, at her home surrounded by family.

Mrs. Mallow was born in 1940 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Carl and Vergie Bayliss. She graduated from Lord Fairfax Community College earning an Associate’s degree in accounting. Mrs. Mallow was Vice President of Imperial Concrete, Inc. and a Real Estate Broker for Imperial Real Estate, Inc. She was a past member of Blue Ridge Board of Realtors and enjoyed reading. Mrs. Mallow was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church.

She married Russell Mallow, Sr. on December 23, 1957 in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving with her husband of almost 61 years are daughters, Dawn Meadows (James) of Winchester, Virginia, Tammy Metz (Timmy) of Middletown, Virginia, and Penny Hoover (Chuck) of Middletown, Virginia; son, Rocky Mallow (Tara) of Winchester, Virginia; sisters, Ruth Rinker and Shirley Plummer both of Winchester, Virginia; brothers, Eugene, Robert, and Charles Bayliss all of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Stephanie Adams, Jim Meadows, Jerald Meadows, Jessica Hoover, Tim Metz, Kala Curbow, Holley Christensen, and Rikki Manuel; twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.

Mrs. Mallow was preceded in death by brothers, James, Phillip, and Donald Bayliss.

A visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 1 pm with Reverend Dr. Ken Smith and Reverend Mary Howard officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Metz, Jr., Kyle Curbow, Ryan Christensen, Keith Adams, Jim Meadows, and Jerald Meadows.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Hoover, Timmy Metz, Donald Marple, K.H. Smith, Jimmy Meadows, and Monte Nail.
