Mary Katherine Stotler, 95, of Winchester, Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Stotler was born February 27, 1922 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late James and Elsie Buncutter. She was a graduate of John Handley High School. Mrs. Stotler was employed by Dr. Donal Funkhouser until her retirement at age 86. She was a baptized member of Bethel Lutheran Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and dedicated employee that will be missed.
Her husband, Ernest “Jack” A. Stotler, preceded her in death in 1990.
Surviving is a daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” Rogers; grandchildren, Beth Rogers Brown of Winchester, Virginia; Lori Ann Bonjo (David) of Richmond, Virginia; Lindsay Brooke Cheatham (Hervie) of Richmond, Virginia; great grandchildren, Zachary, David Jr., Drew, Sasha, Carrigan, and Adaline; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Stotler was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Leroy Rogers; sisters, Hilda Butler and Lucille Teets; and brother, Herbert Buncutter.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
