Mary Jane Mahan
Mary Jane Farrell Mahan, 68, of Stephens City, Virginia died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Mahan was born in 1944 in McAllister, Oklahoma the daughter of the late Kenton and Eileen Farrell. She was a registered nurse at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA for 12 years, and at Winchester Medical Center where she retired in 2007 after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, and the Deep Creek Yacht Club where she enjoyed sailing.
Mrs. Mahan married David Campbell Mahan on June 6, 1964 in Cumberland, Maryland.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Meredith M. Chandler and husband, Donald, of Crimora, VA and Stephanie Mahan and husband, Bruce Lothrop, of Stephens City, VA; four grandchildren, Monica C. Chandler of Grottoes, VA, Zachary S. Chandler of Crimora, VA, and Hannah Lothrop and Connor Lothrop, both of Stephens City, VA; one great grandson, Oliver L. Chandler, and two sisters, Geraldine F. Meehan and husband, Francis, of Spring Hill, FL, and Patricia McLaughlin and husband, Phillip, of Baltimore, MD.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 2077 N. Frederick Pike, Winchester, VA 22603 with Pastors David Young and Heidi David-Young officiating. A reception will follow the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
