Mary Jane Robertson Hutchings, 76, of Winchester, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday, February 9, 2016.
Mary Jane was born November 25, 1939 in Cumberland, Maryland, the daughter of the late Wyllys W. (Buck) Robertson & Mary Bernice Reynolds Robertson. She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church.
After graduating from Allegeny High School, class of 1957, in Cumberland, Maryland, Mary Jane worked for National Fruit Products Co., Frederick County Court, and Rich Products over the next 40 years.
Mary Jane is survived by her son, William Edwin (Bill) Hutchings of Wilmington, North Carolina; her two sisters, Betty Connor (Richard) and LaVonne Alger, both of Winchester; special nephews and nieces: Todd Connor, Mark Connor, Michelle Dick, and Julie Johnson; and very special great-nieces and nephews: Clare Connor, Deborah Dick, Emily Dick, Josiah Dick, Elijah Clark, and Benjamin Clark.
She will be fondly remembered as a devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt and good friend to many.
There will be a Celebration of Mary Jane’s life on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Omps South Chapel with Pastor Mark Carey officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2pm, prior to the service.
We are deeply grateful for the excellent care Mary Jane was given in the ICU of Winchester Medical Center. The doctors, nurses, and staff went above and beyond to assure Mary Jane’s final days were the best they could be. Special thanks to Dr. Palladino and Chaplain Melanie Lewis for your exemplary compassion and care. We will be forever grateful. God bless you all.
