Mary J. Cooley

Mary Jane Frost Cooley, 87, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, in a local nursing facility.

Mrs. Cooley was born in 1923, in Sterling, New York, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Frost. She was a homemaker and a member of Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church.

She married William Olds Cooley on May 19, 1945, in Washington, DC. Mr. Cooley preceded her in death on September 8, 2008.

Surviving is her son, Robert E. Cooley and his wife, Michele, of Stephens City, Virginia.

One son, William Frederick “Bill” Cooley, and three brothers, Robert Frost, Walter Frost and John J. “Jack” Frost, preceded her in death.

All services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel will be private.

To the Cooley Family: I am a neighbor of yours who heard about your loss and I am truly sorry, I know the loss of a loved one can sometimes seem unbearable, I would love to share a scripture found in Gods Word the bible to help your household to cope found at Revelation 21:3,4 which reads: With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say:"Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I pray this scripture helps, my sincere condolences.

Mrs. Cooley was my mother's roommate at Loving Arms. She was a dear lady, always very appreciative of anything and everything that was done for her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this time. SPayne
