Mary I. DeHaven
Mary Iola Ruble DeHaven, 89, of Frederick County, Virginia died, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in her home.
Mrs. DeHaven was born in 1921, in Gainesboro, Virginia, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Nannie Ruble. She was a homemaker, loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and “Angel”. Mrs. DeHaven was a member of Gainesboro United Methodist Church in Gainesboro, Virginia.
Her husband, Kenneth Shaw DeHaven, whom she married on August 30, 1940, in Hagerstown, Maryland, preceded her in death on March 18, 2002.
Surviving are her daughter, Diana Faye Hayden, her husband, Russ and their daughter Heather and husband, Jack of Grove City, Ohio; her son, Kenneth “Dwight” DeHaven and wife, Tina and their daughter, Brittany and husband, Jason of Gainesboro, Virginia; and two sisters, Bessie Linaburg and Marlene Luttrell of Winchester, Virginia.
One sister, Frances McKeever and two brothers, Samuel Ruble and Clarendon Ruble preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Glenn Welsh and Reverend William Withers officiating, Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Howard Ruble, Sam Ruble, Jr., Fred Ruble, Warren Ruble, Brad Luttrell, Paul DeHaven and Wayne Linaburg.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:0-0 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
