I have not only lost an "employer" I have lost a friend. Our fifth "anniversary" together would have been in August. She called me her "personal assistant" & the range of tasks, outings, and lunches were many. She was so easy to work with and I was a sounding board at times, a recipient of reminiscing often and enjoyed her many musings and comments. Her laughter was contagious as she recounted anecdotes from her childhood and with her many friends & family as an adult. It meant so much to her when family & friends would visit, stating how it brightened up her day. I have been enriched through her friendship, learned much from working for her and will miss her greatly. - Jeanie Barham Snedeker

Mary was a very special LADY! I loved to spend time with her and greatly admired her talents (especially her sewing skills). She always had a smile for everyone. My thoughts are with Becky, Philip and Stephen at this difficult time. She and George are together again. Brenda Sisk Adams Buckhannon, WV

Mrs. Ritter was a very special lady. She lived a good long productive life, and she was always there for her family. I didn't see her very often but when I did she always had a smile on her face. I'm glad she is in Heaven and can join her loved ones who have gone on before her. She will be greatly missed. God bless and keep her family in His care for this sad but also joyful time. Our prayers and condolences for all of Mrs Ritter's family, God bless you, Karen and David Kohne

To Mary's Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Mary taught me so many things, and my favorite memory of her is when she and my Grandmother accompanied me to Rockingham County to a Historical Society Banquet and we spent the day all over the place there. My sympathies are with you.
