So sorry for your loss. She was a great lady. We were classmates at Handley, class of 1968. We always thought it was fun that we shared the same birthday. She will be missed.

My heart is so broken at the loss of my almost sister, Mary Carolynn. I live so far away now in Arizona and we had not seen each other in quite awhile. I was so grateful that Dennis and Mary Carolynn were able to visit us last fall and we shared lunch on the patio. We spent so many years together studying ballet under her mother, Genevieve, my second mother. We traveled to New York, Toronto and Michigan to study ballet together and we both danced in Ballet Classique in Washington, DC, not to mention so many recitals. We even doubled dated. So many wonderful memories and so grateful for her and the Anderson family who took me in as a daughter after both of my parents passed away. I will miss her wonderful smile, her sunny disposition and her love. My husband, John, and I send our most sincere condolences to Dennis and the entire family.

Condolences and love to the family. I knew Mary Carolyn through church and also through the friendship of our children. A memory I have is that I forgot to pick up,Andrew at school one day (before cell phones). Mary Carolyn put Andy in her car and went searching for me. She kept Andy from being upset. They found me shopping at Martins. I have never been so grateful and embarrassed. Needless to say that never happened again. If I can help the family in anyway, please let me know. Laura Burdick

I have so many fond memories of this dear friend who was my Bestie from the earliest years in the 1950s. As next door neighbors from 1950 through the ‘80s, we were blessed to have a bond with our neighborhood families that is rarely seen since the time you could run around wild and free until dark! Ballet classes in her basement taught by her Mom, lots of dogs to love and puppies to play with. Older brothers who would tease us, a baby sister we would mostly ignore! Summers at the old Winchester Golf Club learning to swim, play Pom Pom pull away. Taking time to swing and sing silly songs together. An idyllic life it was. Walking to school every day from Roszel Rd, calling her name from her driveway so she would know it was time to go. Adult memories of having kids, good times, tough times, but still many happy times. I shall miss you, Mary Carolyn. You have found peace after a challenging battle. Memories of you will be with me forever.
