Mary Carolynn (Anderson) McLoughlin, 74, of Winchester, Virginia, passed peacefully on April 15th, 2024. She was born on March 7, 1950, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Mary Carolynn was preceded in death by her parents W. Clayton and Genevieve Anderson, her brothers Bill Anderson and John Anderson, and her sister Gay Henkel. She is survived by her husband, Dennis McLoughlin, her brother Doug Anderson, her sister-in-law Ellen Anderson, her children, Hannah Wright, Daniel Wright (Pauline), Molly Wright, and her bonus children Dennis McLoughlin Jr. (Archana), Katie Terzian (Brian), and Jack McLoughlin along with her grandchildren, Benjamin, Colin, Grace, and Henry and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mary Carolynn attended John Handley High School and furthered her education at St. Andrew’s College. Her passions in life were plentiful and included ballet, golf, Mahjong, travel, cinema, choir, basket weaving, knitting, and painting. Later in life she dedicated much of her time to checking on her beloved bluebirds at Blandy Farm. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Winchester and dedicated community volunteer.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Winchester. A reception and celebration of a life well lived will be held immediately following the service at Omps Funeral Home,1600 Amherst St., Winchester, Virginia.
