Mary Belle Billingsley, 93, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at her home.

Mrs. Billingsley was born in 1924 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Bush. She was a graduate of the Tennessee School for the Deaf and a member of Belmont Methodist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Billingsley worked in manufacturing. She loved to can her own vegetables, was a collector of cookbooks, and had a passion for baking. Mrs. Billingsley won many ribbons for award winning baked goods.

Her husband, James C. Billingsley, whom she married on January 4, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee, preceded her in death in 2001.

Surviving are nieces, Carol E. Massey (Dale) and Elizabeth “Libby” Hazard (Jeff); great nieces, Stacy Bierlein, Jennifer Basye (Keith), and Emily Serraro (Scott); and many loving great nieces, sisters-in-law, and extended family members.

Along with her parents and husband Mrs. Billingsley was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Sue Billingsley Spencer; son-in-law, Edward Spencer; sister, Emmalene “Emmie” Bush; brothers, Walter Thomas and Harold Sain Bush.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, June 29th, at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 30th, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee.
