Mary Anna (DeHaven) Downes, 81, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Evergreen Health & Rehab.

Mary was born in 1942 in Frederick County, VA, the daughter of the late Conard Washington DeHaven, Sr. and Iva Lavale (Crowe) DeHaven. She was a graduate of James Wood High School and served our country in the United States Army. Mary was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness. She retired as a factory worker, care giver and housewife.

She married Arthur Neil Thomas Downes on September 8, 1962 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2002.

Mary is survived by her brother Conard DeHaven, Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Winchester, VA.

A service for Mary will be held at a later date.
