Dan Schoemmell left a message on February 16, 2023:
Martha's obituary mentioned she "worked as a school nurse for James Wood High School." Martha did much more than that. During and after her James Wood tenure, Martha gave many James Wood Band members her time, her medical knowledge and her love. She spent endless hours annually at band camp and traveled with The Band including The Band's Spring trips. She was then and still is greatly appreciated by all of us who were associated with The James Wood High School Bands. Thank you Mrs. Place.
