Mack married my first cousin Ellen, the sister I never had and for whom our oldest daughter is named. I always enjoyed being with Mack whose sense of humor meshed with mine. Unfortunately, my golf game never reached the level of Mack's. I'm sure he is conducting lessons already with the angels. As the Scots say "They are picking from our pen," A good one was picked. Rest well my friend and cousin.

"Gdaddy"...you will be missed! I only knew you for approximately 5 years, but one thing I really enjoyed was your sarcasm and playful jokes. I am very thankful for the short time we spent together. The good Lord has blessed us both with an amazing family and I am truly grateful to be part of your family. Enjoy your transition into the next world, I'm certain you will be busy with a smile on your face. Until we meet again...

"Uncle" Mac was not only my Dad's best friend, he was our entire family's best friend. So many great memories and stories that we will keep with us forever. I have no doubt that Mac Carper and Goose Hart are doing something they have no business doing right now. Simply a wonderful man and family. All our best, The Harts
Harry Shendow left a message on July 24, 2018:
Mack and I were team mates and starters on both the varsity football and basketball teams at Handley and graduated together.in 1951. He was an excellent athlete and probably the most popular guy in our class and a great dancer. We did some fun stuff.in the hallways at Handley. He was a true gentleman and good pal. Harry Shendow.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
Gloria Melton left a message on July 24, 2018:
Mack was married to my long time heart friend, Ellen, so naturally he became part of my daily thoughts and prayers. Of their three children, their sweet daughter, Amy, set herself apart as someone special to me. Ellen says that special bond came about because I was the first hometown friend to hold newborn Amy in my arms. I like to think that is true. Though I can't be there, because Mack and Ellen established loving relationships with family and friends during their 57 years together, I am assured that she is encompassed with love and support at her loss. As for Mack, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."--1 Cor.2:9, so he's happy and healed now and I can imagine maybe even playing a youthful round of golf right this very minute. To the family, may the tender love of God bring peace and comfort to your hearts. To Mack, wait for us, we'll see you there!
