Marisa Boone, 36, of Gerrardstown, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

Marisa was born in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of Melody Bosley and The Late Richard Boone. She graduated from Musselman High School, Class of 2004, and worked at Path Realty, receiving her realty certifications in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. She enjoyed keeping up with fitness, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and loved her goldendoodles: Dewey and Izzy.

Along with her mother, Marisa is survived by her significant other, Ronnie Barrett; her son, Kaiden Crawford of Inwood, West Virginia; her brother, Brandon Bosley of Middletown, Virginia; and her grandmother, Beverly Bly of Bunker Hill, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 1pm-3pm at Church of Christ at Mountain View, 153 Narrow Lane, Winchester, VA. A service will immediately follow at the church at 3pm, officiated by Rev. Dr. Boykin-Moore. Interment at Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery will be private.

Sue and family when I started coming into the restaurant, I saw the community amongst the customers and staff. Right in the middle of it all was this lady with a great smile, happy laugh and beautiful spirit. Marissa I knew then that you were going to change the world. You truly did. I know heaven is brighter because the world is a little darker.

She was an amazing soul.. She will definitely be missed by many...

I’ve known Marisa for awhile now I worked at her family restaurant the dining room with her and her family and I absolutely loved them . Then she was the girlfriend of my best friends son Jimmy Horton and that lead into doing some work at their home and then Marisa being our realtor. I was absolutely heart broken when I woke up and saw a post that she had passed away it just didn’t seem real . She definitely was a very special person to A lot of people in our community and will missed very much . Many prayers up for her family and friends during this terrible time. RIP Marisa ?

When we first met Marisa, it was at The Dining Room right after we moved to WV. We walked into the door and found lots of local people there. We felt like outsiders. We found a booth and along came Marisa. Not only was she a great waitress, she had such a beautiful personality and up until the day she left The Dining Room, no matter where we sat, she made sure she waited on us. She knew us and we knew all about her in just the time we were there. We looked forward to coming there and seeing her. Even when she left, if she was there visiting, she made sure to come by and talk to us. It's not the same but we still go there because of her loving family and friends and how they treat us like she did. Rest in peace Marisa. Will and Valerie
