Marie Rebecca (Rinker) Lauck, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center.
Ms. Lauck was born in 1929 in Frederick County, VA, the daughter of the late Alfred D. and Mary C. Rinker. Marie graduated from Stephens City High School. She was self-employed most of her life, having owned and operated Albin Cash Grocery and sold Avon products. She enjoyed volunteering at the Newtown History Center in Stephens City and worked at Rinker’s Orchards selling apples. Marie also enjoyed watching golf, bowling on the Nintendo Wii and participated with the Frederick County Seniors Gadabout Club. She was a member of Relief United Methodist Church.
Surviving is daughter, Catherine L. Troutman and husband, Robert of Guntersville, AL; son, Clark D. Lauck and wife, Denise of Winchester, VA; sister, Ruth A. Weisgerber of Winchester, VA; brother, Charles D. Rinker and wife, Florence of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Charles E. Lauck of Stephens City, VA, Mary E. Emerick and husband, William of Timberville, VA, Christine M. and Dean E. Crouse of Berkeley Springs, WV, Rebecca J. Troutman of Stroudsburg, PA, and Adam D. Troutman and wife, Carrie of Murfreesboro, TN; four great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Ms. Lauck was preceded in death by daughter, Cindy M. Crouse; son, Cary E. Lauck; and sister, Betty M. Rinker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
Services for Marie will be private.
