Margel Lee Taylor, 82, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center.
Affectionately known as “Maw Maw,” Mrs. Taylor was born April 17, 1944, in Wardensville, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Todd Kline and Blanche (True) Kline. She retired as a Medical Transporter from Winchester Medical Center after 23 years of dedicated service.
Alongside her professional career, she was a devoted homemaker who poured her heart into caring for her loved ones. She attended The Church of Christ at Mt. View.
Her husband, Wilbert Lawrence Taylor, preceded her in death on March 15, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Alverta See, and her brother, Dodd J. Kline.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara J. Mason (Timothy McCormick) and Julia L. Miles (Michael); two sons, Charles “Butchie” Taylor (Angie) and Michael “Spanky” Taylor (Tabitha); eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Evangelist Doug Hardman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Mason, Hayden Miles, Chaz Taylor Jr, Forrest Smith, Randy Kline, and Wayne Borden.
