Margaret “Peggy” Louise (Campbell) Dillon, 91, of Kearneysville, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, West Virginia.

Mrs. Dillon was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1926, the daughter of the late Adelbert and Doris Campbell. She attended American University. Mrs. Dillon was an artist and a member of VECCA, an art school in the Shenandoah Valley. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Toms Brook, Virginia.

Her husband, Edward “Ted” R. Dillon, preceded her in death in 2005.

Surviving is her son, Bruce C. Dillon (Jane) of Geneva, Illinois; daughters, Janice L. Rudden (Jon) of West Grove, Pennsylvania and Carol R. Boyd (Scott) of Kearneysville, West Virginia; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husband, Peggy was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy R. Martin.

Peggy will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Ted, at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Peggy’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, West Virginia 25430.

Peggy was a delight and a bright light here at The Village at Orchard Ridge. Her smile and cheerful personality brightened our days. I loved her artwork and always enjoyed seeing her work displayed in our Hallway Gallery. She was also a great addition to our knitting group. I had the pleasure of sitting with Margaret on two occasions as a hospice volunteer. Please accept my sympathy. She and I had delightful conversations She told me all about the family members in the photos on her table! Margaret also shared about being an artist. I would have loved to have seen her work.
