Margaret L. Wiltshire
Margaret Francis Lowe Wiltshire, 93, of Winchester, Virginia, died Monday, November 14, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Wiltshire was born in 1918, in Loudoun County, Virginia the daughter of the late William Frances and Mary Elizabeth Lowe. She taught school in Fauquier County, Virginia retiring after 29 years of service. Mrs. Wiltshire attended Mary Washington University.
She was a member of the Upperville Garden Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of Upperville, Upperville Volunteer Fire Company and Virginia Retired Teachers Association. In addition Mrs. Wiltshire was a member of the Welcome Wagon Club, Fauquier County Retired Teachers; Loudoun County Retired Teachers and was a Volunteer with Winchester Medical Center Auxiliary for 17 years.
Her husband, Richard Blakely Wiltshire, Sr., whom she married on January 23, 1937, in Arlington, Virginia, preceded her in death on May 5, 1994.
Surviving is her daughter, Carolyn W. Wilson and her husband, James, of Gainesville Virginia; son, Richard B. Wiltshire, Jr. and wife, Ann, of Winchester, Virginia; three grandchildren, Margaret B. Wilson, Gennifer A. Rapp and Kattie G. Lawrence; four great grandchildren; her sisters, Mary L. Monroe of Leesburg, Virginia and Eugenia L. Gartrell of Middleburg, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Upperville, Virginia, with Mr. David A. Owings officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 4:00-6:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
