Margaret Bowers Kettlewell, age 100, of Winchester, Virginia passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at The Village at Orchard Ridge in Winchester.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7th, at The Village at Orchard Ridge Chapel with Chaplain Dr. Bill Boldin officiating. Interment will be private.
Margaret was born in 1917 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the daughter of the late William E. and Hazel Belle Bowers. She was an accountant retiring in the 1980’s from Lord Fairfax Community College, Middletown, Virginia. She attended St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Front Royal and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester.
Margaret’s husband, John Henry Kettlewell, preceded her in death in 2001. Her first husband, Wilburn Austin Beattie, also preceded her in death.
Surviving is a daughter, Marcia L. Cronin (Michael) of Reno, Nevada; a son, William “Bill” G. Beattie (Carla) of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Lori D. Cronin of Atlanta, Georgia, Dayna M. Cronin of Portland, Oregon, Meghan M. Beattie of Richmond, Virginia, and Matthew G. Beattie of Tysons Corner, Virginia.
