Mandi Sue Simmons, 38, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mandi was born in 1978 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of Bonnie and Paul Simmons, Jr. She was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1997. Mandi was formerly employed for many years as an Event Coordinator for Millwood Banquet Hall. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. Mandi will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile and her passion for dogs.
Surviving with her parents is daughter, Caitlyn Mae Shutts and son, Hunter Clark Thompson both of Winchester, Virginia; brothers, Eddie Simmons and his wife Amy and Chris Simmons both of Winchester, Virginia as well as many extended family members and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Barry Burkholder officiating. Interment will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Mandi may be made to Dakotas Dream Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 1814, Winchester, Virginia 22604.
