Mae Madigan Lucas

Norma Mae Madigan Lucas, 82, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, in her home.

Mrs. Lucas was born in 1929, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Marguerite Madigan. She was a homemaker and custodian at Middletown School, retiring in 2002, after 15 years of service. Mrs. Lucas attended Fairview United Methodist Church in Winchester.

Her husband, Clarence Lucas, Sr., whom she married in 1950, preceded her in death in 1974.

Surviving is her daughter, Roxie Ann Walter and husband, Greg, of Derwood, Maryland; sons, Larry Wayne Lucas of Stephens City, John Edward Lucas and wife, Brenda, of Winchester; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Estelle Madigan Pitta of Winchester, Delsie Virginia Madigan Arnold of Clear Brook; and her brother, Marshall W, Madigan of Star Tannery, Virginia.

Her son, Clarence Lucas, Jr., sister, Arminta Madigan Alger Fridley and two brothers, Franklin R. and Merton Madigan, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
