Madeleine C. Hostetler

Madeleine Cecelia DeFilippo Hostetler, 84, of Stephens City, VA died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Salisbury, MD.

Mrs. Hostetler was born in 1928 in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Nicola and Antonietta DeFilippo. She worked for A&P Food Stores in the meat department, retiring after 25 years of service.

Mrs. Hostetler was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Milo Hostetler, Sr.

She is survived by a daughter, Camelia Jordan; a step-son, Thomas Hostetler; three grandchildren, Linnet Serrano, Anthony DiToto and Sherri DiToto; three great grandchildren, Anna Serrano, Derek Griffith and Destiny Griffith, and a sister, Theresa DiToto.

All services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016, or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 3271, Winchester, VA 22604.

So sorry to hear about Madeline, Tony, do you plan to stay there? Mr. Parker & I would love to hear from you about your future plans. Your grandmother was such a good neighbor ~ she would call up to see how we were doing and to call us if there was anything going on in the neighborhood. We visited on & off and she never missed a Christmas without some kind of gift for us. She will be greatlly missed by us and probably many others. Sincerely, Betty & Roy Parker
