Mabel M. “Smokey” Crown
Mabel Mae “Smokey” Kelley Crown, 83, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, died Thursday, November 15, 2012, in City Hospital, Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Mrs. Crown was born in 1929, in Staunton, Virginia, the daughter of Dean and Genevieve Kelley. She was a loving mother and homemaker, in addition to being a Caterer. Mrs. Crown was a member of Winchester Women of the Moose Chapter 1367.
Her husband, Robert Lindy Crown, whom she married on December 21, 1946, in Rockville, Maryland, preceded her in death on January 29, 2005.
Surviving are her sons, Richard L. Crown, Sr., and his Fiancé, Cristal M. Hedrick of Martinsburg, Montgomery D. Crown and wife, Antoinette, of Hedgesville, Mark K. Crown and wife, Suzanne, of Winchester; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren; sisters, Eva Dearth and husband, John, and Annabelle Call all of Martinsburg; brothers, Henry Kelley of Rockville, Maryland, Walter Kelley of Woodstock, and Hugh Kelley of Pennsylvania.
One sister, Nancy McDaniel and two brothers, Robert and Arthur Kelley, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00-4:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, on Monday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
