Luella K. Brannon
Luella Kate Ketterman Brannon, 77, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Brannon was born in 1933, in Ongeo, West Virginia the daughter of the late Robert and Gertie Ketterman. She was employed with G.E. in the Quality Control department, retiring in 1996 after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Winchester.
She married Charles Brannon on August 18 1960.
Surviving with her husband are two step-sons, Kenneth Brannon and his wife, Rose, of Moorefield, West Virginia, Paul Brannon and his wife, Lydia, of Winchester, Virginia; eleven grandchildren;fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Anna Popkins and husband, Donald, Vergie Lamb and Janie Johnson and significant other, Robbie, all of Winchester, Dessie Nelson and husband, Paul, of Elkins West Virignia and one brother, Herman Ketterman and his wife, Linda, of Elkins West Virginia.
Two sons, Dickie and Danny Kerns, one step-daughter, Rose Seals-Mongold, two step-sons, Terry and Charles Brannon, five sisters and two brothers, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
