Lucy “Faye” Kerr, 83, of Paducah, Kentucky, living in Winchester, Virginia, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
Mrs. Kerr was born in 1934, in Bridgeport, Alabama, the daughter of the late Flora M. and Albert Morris. She was a retired nurse having served at Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York. Mrs. Kerr was a member of the Red Hat Society of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Paducah, Kentucky. She enjoyed painting outdoor scenes, going to the beach and traveling.
She married her loving husband, Jack Kerr, on December 24, 1952, in Brookport, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2015.
Surviving is her son, Gary A. Kerr and his wife, Christina; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Kerr (Tammy), Gregory Adam Kerr, Thomas Jason Kerr (Adrienne); great grandchildren, Devon, Nathan, Brendan, Ashley, Gavin, Gennevieve, Delano and Pierce. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Lynn Anderson and her nieces and nephews.
One brother, Edward Glenn Morris, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, from 10:30- 11:30 AM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 AM, on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Jackie Battles officiating. Interment will be in Pell Cemetery in Brookport, Illinois.
