Louise M. McFarland

               Louise May McFarland, age 87, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 in Winchester Medical Center.

               Mrs. McFarland was born in 1927, in Boyce, VA, the daughter of the late Floyd and Annie Reid.  She was a housekeeper for nearly 50 years and a member of the Hayfield Assembly of God Church.

               Louise married Leonard Boyce McFarland in May of 1945 in Hagerstown, MD.  He preceded her in death on March 26, 2014.

               Louise is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Newcome and Bobbie Gardner, both of Winchester, VA; two sons, Linden McFarland and girlfriend, Sandra Williams, and Leonard McFarland and wife, Vicky, all of Winchester, VA; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters, Lola, Margaret and Esther; and brother Junior Reid.  Her sister Evelyn and brothers, Tommy and Marcus preceded her in death.

               The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Omps, Amherst Chapel.

               A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Evangelist James McDaniel officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Hayfield, VA.

               Pallbearers will be John Newcome, Jr., Travis Newcome, David Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, Wesley Cooper, and Bradley Cooper.
