Lorraine S. Ball, 73 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
Lorraine was born in 1952 in Washington D.C., the daughter of the late Michael and Dolores Stofan. She was a graduate of Fairfax High School and went on to earn her associate degree from Northern Virginia Community College. Lorraine worked as an administrative assistant for Market Place Realty and retired as an executive secretary for Winchester Medical Center. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester. Lorraine loved shooting pool and taking care of her cats, she was known to her friends as “Cat Whisperer”. Lorraine was a very loving and welcoming person to all.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Creed Ball, Jr.; daughter, Chandra Freidland (Jeff), grandchildren, Leonardo “Leo”, Giovanni “Gio”, Hugo, Ellie and Josie; brother, Michael Stofan (Sally) and nieces, nephews and dear and loving friends.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine is preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Stofan.
A visitation will be held for Lorraine on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 6 pm to 8pm with a service to be conducted the following day, Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11am all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
