Lonnie Lee Lewis, age 61, of Edinburg, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his residence.
Lonnie “Lunk” was born in 1955 in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles E. Lewis and Rosalie K. Buckley. He was a graduate of Port Allegany High School. He worked as a fork lift operator for Bowman Apple Company before his retirement. Lonnie was a member of the NRA, a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved NASCAR racing. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his brother and nephew.
Surviving are his sisters, Tracy Stone (Clyde) of Keating Summit, PA and Kim Grigsby of Port Allegany, PA; brother, Terry Lewis (Amy) of Maurertown, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Mitchell Dowell, Asher Lewis, Misty Taylor, Rachel Lewis and Bradley Green.
In addition to his parents, Lonnie is preceded in death by a niece, Heather Dowell, and two nephews, Sean Dowell and Michael Dowell.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Port Allegany United Methodist Church, Port Allegany, Pennsylvania. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Randy Headley officiating. Burial will be private.
