Lois S. Perrault
Lois Sealey Perrault, 83, of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, in the Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
Mrs. Perrault was born in 1926, in Lumberton, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Richard R. and Leola Sealey. She attended Ferrum Junior College. She was a switchboard operator for physicians at Hialeah Hospital, a unit secretary at Virginia Beach General Hospital and Nursing Assistant at Southeastern General Hospital in Lumberton, North Carolina, retiring in 1989. After moving to Winchester she continued as a nursing assistant on the Pediatric Unit at Winchester Community Hospital. Mrs. Perrault also assisted home bound senior citizens and volunteered at Winchester Medical Center.
She married Donald L. Perrault on August 6, 2000, in Winchester, Virginia. They met playing and singing in the “Kitchen Band”.
Surviving with her husband is her daughter, Lois Jean Tucker of Winchester, Virginia; four grandchildren, William Lawrence Etheridge, Cheryl Lynn Johnson, Ashley Jeanne Tucker, and Noah Scott Tucker II; four step grandchildren, Ian Perrault, Erich Perrault, Lindsey Perrault and Benjamin Perrault; two great grandchildren, Gwendolyn Cheryl Johnson and Erica Lynn Johnson, and two sisters, Esther Maxine Cichorz of Windsor, Virginia, and JoAnn McAlister of Chesapeake, VA.
Her son, Wilmer Dwight Etheridge, two sisters, Annie Reese Byrum and Eva Mae Sealey, and three brothers, Richard Asbury Sealey, Charles Mack Sealey and Earl Bowman Sealey, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Jerry Weigel officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Gerrardstown, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel
