Lloyd Graham Derflinger, 76, of Front Royal, Virginia died Thursday in Loving Arms Assisted Living.
Mr. Derflinger was born in 1936 in Riverton, Virginia the son of the late Walter and Mary Frances Derflinger. He was a mechanic, maintenance and school bus driver for Warren County School Board for 21 years. Mr. Derflinger was Deacon, Elder and Song Leader at the Front Royal Church of Christ. He also was a veteran with the National Guard.
Mr. Derflinger married Catherine Walker Derflinger on September 19, 1958 in Warren County, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife, Cathie, are two sons, Daniel Derflinger, Sr. and his wife, Sharon and Mark Derflinger and his wife, Karol, both of Front Royal, Virginia; two daughters, Jean Lichliter and her husband, Terry, of Fort Valley, Virginia and Rebecca Messner and her husband, Robert, of Salado, Texas; six grandchildren, Amanda Derflinger, Craig Derflinger, Jacob Lichliter, Madelynn Derflinger, Ashley Messner and William Lloyd Messner; and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Derflinger was preceded in death by one great grandchild, William Craig Derflinger and a sister, Helen Luby.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Evangelist Jeff Kelley officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
