Lloyd Angus Nealis, 89, of Frederick County, Virginia died Sunday February 10, 2013, in his home.
Mr. Nealis was born in 1923 in Augusta, West Virginia, the son of the late Harley W. and Matilda E. Nealis. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Nealis was formerly employed by Interwoven Stocking Company in Martinsburg, West Virginia and later retired from General Motors. He was a member of Blue Ridge Grace Brethren Church, Winchester, Virginia.
He married Alice R. Ricketts on August 3, 1945 in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, Robert Nealis and wife, Linda, of Swartz Creek, Michigan, Gary Nealis and wife, Nancy, of Traverse City, Michigan, Brian Nealis and fiancé, April O’Leary of Berryville, Virginia; six grandchildren, Brent Nealis, John Nealis, Jason Nealis, Matthew Nealis, Rebecca Nealis and Aimee Nealis; and nine great grandchildren. One sister, Marjorie Funkhouser and two brothers, Loring Nealis and Olva Nealis preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Darrell Taylor officiating.
Interment with Military Honors will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg, West Virginia.
