Linden L. McFarland, age 68, of Winchester VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 20244, at Winchester Medical Center with his twin brother Leonard and longtime companion and friend Sandra Williams by his side.

Mr. McFarland was born February 12, 1956, in Winchester VA the son of the late Leonard and Louise McFarland. He worked for Valley Proteins for 44 years. He was a member of the Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church.

Mr. McFarland is survived by one brother, Leonard McFarland and wife Vicky of Winchester VA, and several nieces and nephews who absolutely adored their Uncle Linden. Sisters Bobbie Gardner and Phyllis Newcome preceded him in death.

Linden was one of a kind. He never met a stranger and those who had the privilege to meet him were forever changed. Linden had a way of making those around him feel comfortable through his friendly and lighthearted personality. He will forever be remembered for his infinite humor, ongoing pranks, his love of sports and fierce competitiveness.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Omps, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 pm, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Jeff Dillon officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Hayfield, VA.

Pallbearers will be John Newcome, Jr., Travis Newcome, Ronald Gardner Jr., Greg McFarland, Clay McFarland, and Kenny Hartman.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Bubby Loy
