Linda W. Unger, 77, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
Linda was born in Pennsylvania in 1947, the daughter of the late Billy and Kathryn Walker. She was a graduate of James Wood High School in Winchester. Linda retired as a paralegal for a circuit court judge. She was a lifetime member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church as well as a board member. Linda was also a board member and volunteer at the Winchester SPCA.
She is survived by her husband, Boyd “Butch” Unger, Jr.; son, William Boyd “Sonny” Unger of Winchester, VA; and sisters, Judy Myrick (John) of Tennessee and Jeanie Mills (Dave) of Stephens City, Virginia; nieces, Danielle Kern and Pamela Hopkins (C.J.), Lisa Carr (Billy); nephews, Jason and Jeremy Myrick.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm with a service to follow on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11am all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Entombment will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Ralph Carver.
