Linda Lee Racey Blake, 63 of Clear Brook, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.
Linda was born in Keyser, WV in 1960, the daughter of the late Kenneth Dailey Racey and Margot Elvira (Schroder) Racey. She was a homemaker who adored taking care of her family, especially her kids and grandkids. Linda was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and Eagles Club. She loved to play BINGO and do a little bit of gambling. Linda enjoyed country music, especially Vince Gill and enjoyed watching re-runs of Little House on the Prairie, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, her daytime soap operas (especially General Hospital), Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. One of her favorite things to do on weekends was to have a family night when all the family would get together.
Linda’s love story with Michael began in 1973 when she was 12 years old, and he was 14 years old, their love grew, and the two were married on Valentine’s Day in 1998.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Wayne Blake; her children, Melissa Dale Pratt of Clear Brook, VA, Billy Russell Holmes, Jr. (Kayla) of Berkeley Springs, WV, Tiffany Faith Holmes of Clear Brook, VA, and Hunter James Harold Blake (Meghan) of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Hailey Joy Marie Pratt, John Tyler “J.T.” Pratt, Jayden Eli Holmes, Lily Rayne Holmes, Rowan Michael Paul Blake, and her sister, Heidi Lynn Singhas of Winchester, VA.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her canine companions, Midnight, and Reese.
A visitation will be held for Linda on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm with a service the following day, Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 6pm, all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
