Linda Faye Wisecarver Vickrek, 73, of Frederick County, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.
Ms. Vickrek was born in 1950, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Dorothy Jean and Glendin Lee Wisecarver. She was employed as a Program Management Specialist at FEMA with the Operational Tech Team.
Linda loved traveling, vacationing, being outdoors tending to her flowers, riding motorcycles, attending social events and any adventure she could get into including ziplining in Vegas at the age of 69. Linda loved competing in barrel racing in her younger years and continued to trail ride until the age of 65. Linda loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was a sitting on the porch enjoying a cup of coffee or out to dinner at her favorite restaurant. Linda was a lady of fashion, she loved to dress up and make a statement. She devoted herself to her Daughter, Granddaughter and Great – Grandson, whom she babysat the first year of his life. Linda was a Devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend to many. Anyone who met her or got to know her, she made an impact on their lives as she was loved by many. She was full of laughter and knowledge. Linda worked for FEMA for 30yrs, she traveled for FEMA and assisted Disaster Survivors. She was a strong and vibrant lady, who lived and loved life. She will be greatly missed by so many who loved and admired her.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Boyd; granddaughter, Christina Webber (Trey Tyers); great grandson, Justin Emmett-Lee Tyers; her sister, Sam Snapp and her brother, Steven Wisecarver.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Justin Boyd and Robert Boyd and brothers, Gregory, and Jeffery Wisecarver.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
