Lewis P. Young

Lewis Paul Young, 79, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away, Monday, November 30, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Young was born in 1930 in Carlinville, Illinois, the son of the late William and Lillian Young. He retired from Communications with twenty years of service from the United States Navy and CIA. Mr. Young was a member of Sacred Hearth Catholic Church. He was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy as CT1 during Korea and Vietnam.

His wife, Betty J. Coffman, whom he married on June 21, 1952, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, preceded him in death on August 12, 2005.

Surviving are six children, Paul Young of Falls Church, Jeffrey Young of Linden, Alan Young of Boyce, Nikki Young Chamblee of Sterling, Kathi Young Coldren of Triangle and Linda Young Nysmith of Leesburg; sixteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three brothers.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
