Leuvenia C. Glenn
Leuvenia “Lou” Carter Glenn, 71, of Clear Brook, Virginia, died Saturday, January 21, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center on her 28th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Glenn was born in 1940, in Richlands, North Carolina, the daughter of the late James Bryant Carter and Millie Taylor. She was a Methods Analyst with Lucent Technologies retiring after 31 years of service. Mrs. Glenn most recently worked at “The Stop” in Winchester, Virginia.
She was a loving wife to Aubrey Wilson Glenn whom she married on January 21, 1984 in Arlington, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband are two beloved daughters, Donna Allison and husband, Stafford, of Huntingtown, Maryland, Michele Lowndes and husband, Nathan, of Winchester, Virginia. She was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Alise, Stafford, Campbell, Kaitlin, Kinsey and Colby; three sisters, Dallas Swinson and Mavis Hemby of Richlands, North Carolina and Sadie Joy of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Four brothers, Willis Carter, Edward Carter, Kenneth Carter, William Carter and four sisters, Viola Thompson, Maria Whaley, Macy Dodson and Eleanor Schaefer preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Reverend Tiffany Towberman officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
