Nancy Switkay left a message on January 7, 2023:
I first met Karen and Pete Nyce when they moved into our area and became members of the Winchester Ward. We sat at the same table during our Ward Christmas party. I remember how kind Pete was and how interested he was in everyone he met. I had the pleasure of visiting Karen and Pete at their home. Pete was so proud of the life he and Karen had built together. He took pleasure in showing me their beautiful home, the cozy barn, and the gorgeous grounds. I will never forget the extraordinary kindness Pete showed towards me and how special he always made me feel. Pete - I'll miss seeing your sweet smile until we meet again some day. Until then, I'll carry the memories of you in my heart and will always treasure your friendship. Many thanks to you and Karen for opening your hearts and home to me!

My sincerest condolences go out to Karen and her family. I am so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I haven't known him long, but what I have known of him, he was always such a happy person and had the sweetest big smile whenever he saw you. I know he is now at peace and in God's hands, looking down on his family with that same smile. My prayers go out to you all.
