Leonard E. Williamson
Leonard Ellis Williamson, 65, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Williamson was born in 1945, in Frederick County, Virginia, the son of the late L. D. “Red” Williamson and Lorraine “Jack” Williamson. He was a District Sales Manager with Fleetwood Trucking in Martinsburg, West Virginia, retiring after 24 years of service. Mr. Williamson was a member of Gainesboro United Methodist Church. He was a member of Gainesboro Fire and Rescue; Gainesboro Ruritan Club and Shawnee Ruritan Club. In addition he was a member of the Winchester Gun Club and the Gainesboro Conservation Club. Mr. Williamson was a graduate of James Wood High School Class of 1964.
Surviving are two sons, Leonard Scott Williamson and his fiancé, Samantha Parker, of Stephens City, Virginia, Jamie Guy Williamson and his wife, Dawn, of Winchester, Virginia; four grandchildren, Krysten Warner, Lauren Williamson, Brandon Williamson, and Cody Williamson; and two nieces, Susan Combs and Sharon Combs both of Stephens City, Virginia.
One sister, Joyce Combs Cather preceded him in death.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst chapel with Reverend William Withers and Reverend Robert Moore officiating. Interment will be private
The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
